WDT Transports 'The Wall That Heals'

Four WDT Veteran drivers that represent the four service branches of the US Military were selected by Veteran Committee Bill Ramey (US Air Force), Doug Butler (US Army), Anthony Aragon (US Marines) and Joe Finney (US Navy) to pick up The Wall That Heals from Pooler, GA and transport it to Stephenville, TX this week. Our driving team of Matt Burkhart (US Marines), Rob Roberts (US Air Force), Dale Butler (US Army) and Mike Shinn (US Navy) were humbled and honored to haul the traveling exhibit that honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. armed forces in the Vietnam War, and bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Stephenville, TX is home to one of many Western Dairy Transport terminals and was chosen out of over 100 applications to be a part of the 2019 national tour of the Vietnam Memorial replica. The Wall is assembled and disassembled by local volunteers and WDT was thankful to be able to provide the transportation portion of its journey to Texas. Two 2020 Peterbilt 567's were customized by the Veteran team specifically for this privilege and will remain in the fleet to honor our Veteran employees and serve as a reminder of the ones who have chosen to protect and serve our country.
