We had the honor of transporting a fully operational artillery cannon for our friends at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, this past week. The cannon is designed to be pulled by a team of horses, celebrates the University's rich military heritage, and symbolizes Tarleton's deep appreciation for Veterans. Find out more about how the cannon, named Doc's Revival, became a part of Tarleton's longstanding traditions in the linked article. https://theflashtoday.com/
There is a big difference between doing a good thing in public and doing the right thing privately. Yesterday, WDT driver Mike Van Zile of Stephenville, TX, found a wallet belonging to one of our customers with a considerable amount of money in it and turned it in right away. Our customer was beyond grateful, and we are beaming with pride for Mike. The world needs more Mike's - and we are so thankful that he is a part of our Western Dairy Transport family.
We agree with Mark Twain, "great people are those who make others feel that they, too, can become great." In May, we are celebrating those who truly live out our WDT Core Purpose of "We exist to enrich and grow people, families, and communities" and go out of their way to "Make Others Great!"
