At Western Dairy Transport, some of the best ideas and most valuable feedback come from the people behind the wheel every day.
That’s why we’re excited to introduce the WDT Driver Advisory Committee (DAC).
The purpose of this committee is to encourage open communication and collaboration by giving drivers an opportunity to share feedback, perspectives, and ideas that can help support operational decisions and the continued growth and success of WDT.
We believe the employees performing the work each day bring valuable experience and insight that can help strengthen our operations. Their input is important when discussing policies, procedures, operational changes, safety initiatives, and opportunities to improve the way we work together and support overall success.
All drivers are encouraged and welcome to apply. WDT values a variety of experiences and perspectives across the driver team. Drivers who have previously been recognized for leadership, professionalism, or safety achievements may bring additional experience that could support the committee’s work, including:
• Driver Trainers
• Previous Gold Standard Drivers
• Safety Excellence Award recipients
Members of the Driver Advisory Committee will:
• Provide direct feedback and insight on SOPs, policies, and operational initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, communication, and consistency
• Help leadership better understand real-world challenges drivers face day to day
• Support rollout and understanding of key company initiatives
• Serve as a voice for fellow drivers across the fleet and within their terminals
Committee members will participate in quarterly meetings with company leadership to share ideas, discuss challenges, and provide honest feedback from the field.
This is more than a title. It is a working group focused on helping make WDT stronger for drivers today and for the future.
We are grateful to the drivers who help move this company forward every day, and we look forward to the insights and ideas this committee will bring.
