Cow's Milk Has a Variety of Options

Milk was simply "milk" until we became older and began to recognize the different colored caps and types of milk at the grocery store. Whole, skim, 2% - what do milk fat percentages mean? The percentage on your container is the amount of fat in the milk by weight, which is reflected in the total calorie differences among the different types of milk. Does whole milk come from bigger cows? Nope! Before milk is bottled, all of the fat is removed. Then, it's re-added to the milk in the various percentages - but none of these kinds of milk are watered down.
